The problem was to prevent food spoilage, which would reduce food waste in return.
Interview with Nutrition and Food specialists revealed that microorganisms need to breath for reproduction and thus spoil food in the process. Hereupon, the spoilage and reproduction can be stoped either by pumping air out of storage containers or kill microorganisms by application of high pressure.
The designed device provides three food containers and a mechanism to vacuum and compress the containers air.
The device is an outside refrigerator storage that keeps food two times longer than a refrigerator does.
